How we review tools
Each listing has two layers. The short description and pricing line come from the vendor. The verdict, pros, cons, and best-for line are our notes on what those official pages actually support.
What we read
- We open the tool's official website and, when one is linked, the pricing or docs page.
- The verdict is two or three sentences in our words. Pros and cons are documented strengths and limits, including a missing price when the page did not show one.
- Best for names the job the official site is built for. Comparison pages use that same research to say which tool fits which job.
- Last updated is the date we read the pages. It is not a claim that we retested the product in an engine that day.
What we will not do
- We do not invent prices, benchmarks, or hands-on scores. If a price was printed on the page, the review may mention it and the date. If it was missing or unclear, the review says so.
- Vendor descriptions stay attributed to the vendor. A paid placement is labeled Sponsored and does not rewrite the verdict or the description.
- Comparison verdicts are fit calls from public docs. They are not a lab test of which model looks better.
